The best system is the one people don’t have to think about. I approach setup work practically — getting tools, platforms, and configurations working together so they support the way the business actually operates. That usually means less complexity, not more, and always means things are documented clearly enough that someone else can maintain them later.
This is often the unglamorous end of operations work — domain settings, email configuration, shared inboxes, permissions — but getting it right at the start saves significant time and confusion down the line. I enjoy this kind of work precisely because most people don’t.
